No.: Loan No. IBRD-91640, Credit No. IDA-67790<br/><br/> <br/><br/>Prequalification Reference No. PK-PEDO-211744-CW-RFB (Package-1: Civil Works – Water Conveyance Structure (weir, diversion structure, tunnel, etc), access roads and bridges)<br/>The Government of Pakistan has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Hydropower and Renewable Energy Development Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for GKHPP/PEDO/ICB-01 (Gabral Kalam Hydropower Project – Package 1).<br/><br/> <br/>The Pakhtunkhwa Energy Development Organization (PEDO) intends to prequalify contractors for Contract No. GKHPP/PEDO/ICB-01. Brief description of the type(s) of works to be provided are narrated hereunder:<br/><br/> <br/>Construction of Civil Work:<br/><br/> <br/>Diversion weir/Concrete dam<br/>River diversion works during construction<br/>Connecting channel<br/>Sandtrap<br/>Inlet pond<br/>Headrace tunnel<br/>Access tunnels<br/>Surge shaft<br/>Pressure shaft<br/>Pressure tunnel, Penstock, and Manifold<br/>Powerhouse excavation<br/>Tailrace and Protection works<br/>Permanent and Temporary bridges<br/>Temporary and Permanent access roads<br/><br/> <br/>Design, Supply, Installation, and Testing of Hydraulic Steel Works:<br/><br/>Gates, Stop log, Trash racks, Steel liner/Penstock, Manifold, etc.<br/><br/> <br/><br/>Quantities, locations, and other information is described under Section VII “Scope of Works” of Prequalification Documents purchased by interested Applicants.<br/><br/> <br/><br/>It is expected that invitations to bid will be made in May 2021<br/><br/> <br/>Prequalification will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers July 2016 Edition (Revised November 2017 and August 2018) (“Procurement Regulations”), and is open to all eligible Applicants as defined in the Procurement Regulations.<br/><br/> <br/>Interested eligible Applicants may obtain further information from the PEDO at the address below during office hours from 0900 to 1700 hours (local time). A complete set of prequalification documents in English language may be purchased by interested Applicants on the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of Pakistan Rupee 30,000/-. The method of payment will be through Pay Order or Bank Draft drawn on a scheduled bank of Pakistan in favor of the Project Director, GKHPP, PEDO. The document will be sent by courier for local delivery.<br/><br/> <br/>Applications for prequalification should be submitted in clearly marked envelopes and delivered to the address below by 1400 hours (local time)on April 8, 2021.
